Review: The Road (2009)

The Road
IMDB rate: 7,3

I found this an amazing movie, which is kinda terrifying and touching at the same time. Nobody in the movie haves a name, even when you search for it, the actors will be named as 'the boy' or 'man'. Man is  played by Viggo Mortensen, and the boy is played by Kodi Smit-Mcphee, these were the main characters of the movie. Both played their roles very well.

Man and the boy are walking through a burned world, filled with ash and with no sun shining through. They are in search of food while they keep walking towards the sea. While they are walking, they need to be careful for cannibals that are even more desperate for food. They see a lot of terrifying things but they keep holding on. I won't give out any spoilers, because that will probably ruin the movie, but I definitely recommend this movie!

I haven't read the book yet, but I will definitely buy it when I come across it, quite curious because many people think the book is way better and the movie is kinda disappointing compared to the book. Anyway, this movie is absolutely for people who are interested in apocalyptic genres with a bit of horror/thriller. I was quite impressed by it and I definitely recommend this one. Don't watch this if you don't like dark and sad movies.

My personal rate: 8/10
