Hunger Games

The House series are finally delivered, so I can watch the next three seasons finally :D.
I just finished reading all the Hunger Games books, don't really know what to say about it. Haven't seen the movie yet, but from what I can tell, the movie is probably very similar to the book. However, part two and three were quite confusing and sometimes it seemed like parts were missing. I don't think the movies will turn out really great because the book is just vague sometimes. I did cry at the end of book three but I think it's more out of frustration, about everything that Katniss does (will try to avoid spoilers). Halfway the third book it became a bit annoying because the huge similarity between the Hunger Games and the Twilight series (in my opinion). This is mainly because of the drama that Katniss create, the endless playing with Gale and Peeta and always wanting to do everything herself, when she's clearly not able to. This is the same thing I hated about Twilight, the endless playing of Bella with Jacob and Edward, and the endless moaning etc.
I have seen the Twilight movies (well not all of them) and I think it's really terrible, while the books were a fun love story (without all the annoying things) but the movie ruined it. It's not that I'm a big fan or anything, but I did enjoyed it. I'm afraid for watching the movie of The Hunger Games for the same reasons. I did like the book, the story was not the best I've ever read, but still it holds my attention and I was curious about what still had to come. I really want to recommend it, if you're able to read over the annoying things, because besides that, it's quite fun.

UPDATE: Saw the movie of the Hunger Games, the first few minutes where quite annoying because there wasn't really much talking and the filming was really annoying. But after that it changed and the filming went normal, plus the story became better. I actually liked the movie a lot, and I'm quite excited for part two and three.

**Sorry for my english, I'm too lazy today to write normal.

My House season three didn't came in yet, so I have no idea what to do.. been on my ps3 the whole day, playing mini ninjas. I'm trying to get all the trophies, and I only need three others, but one trophy has a sort of glitch, so it won't work, and now I have to delete the save file, after I completed the other trophies, and hopefully it will work after that :).

I also bought GTA 4 for the playstation, never played it before but it was super cheap, so guess it will be fun. I have GTA San Andreas on the computer but that's different I guess? ANYWAY, I try to make my time fly, that's why I post useless things. Yeah. Ok.

House and stuff

I have created a new House addiction. Season 3 is ordered... Although I already saw most of them on tv, it's still very fun to watch them all again. I only haven't seen Season 8, but it really seems like a shit season, because too many people that were important left, such a shame. Anyway, going to watch the last two episodes of season 2, hopefully season 3 will come in soon :).

I'm a bit bored, so that's why I'm writing this useless message. I did send a solicitation form today at a shop I really really really want to work in, it's with dvd's and music so it would be perfect for me . Especially the dvd section because I can finally share my movie knowledge without boring people haha.

That's it, bye!

Review: Fight Club (1999)

Fight Club
IMDB rate: 8,9

So, it took me awhile, but I finally watched Fight Club. And wow, I really really liked it! Amazing movie, I knew there was some twist up thing in the movie but I did not expected this to happen. I won't give out any spoilers for people that havena't watched it yet, but all I can say is: WATCH IT.

I haven't read the book yet, but now I've seen the movie I'm very curious about the book! Many people say it's also an amazing book, so I can't wait to read it.

Well, let's start by saying that Brad Pitt performance of Tyler Durden was amazing! I also liked him in Se7en, which is also a movie from David Fincher, and is an amazing actor in general. But the way he played Tyler Durden, wow.  But also the choice of Helena Bonham Carter was great (did she ever played a normal role?). She's a great actress and also in this movie she played more than convincing. To be fair, I don't think I've seen a lot of Edward Norton movies (Stone, The Italian Job and Red Dragon) but this movie made me curious about other movies he played in, because he's an amazing actor and played his role of 'the Narrator' really good.

The storyline of Fight Club: (I must admit that I copied this from IMDB, because it just made everything perfectly clear).
A young urban professional who works for a major car manufacturer can't sleep. Although he doesn't have any of the associated afflictions, he stumbles across support groups as a means to let out whatever emotions he is feeling, which in turn is allowing him to sleep. But the use of these support groups is ruined when he meets a young woman named Marla Singer, who is also going to all these support group meetings. Because he knows she too is not afflicted with any of the maladies for which the groups exist, her presence has lessened the impact of the stories he hears. His life changes when he meets a soap manufacturer named Tyler Durden, who in many ways is the antithesis of the insomniac. Due to unusual circumstances with his own condo, the insomniac moves in with Tyler, who lives in a large dilapidated house in an otherwise abandoned part of town. After a bit of spontaneous roughhousing with Tyler in a bar parking lot, the insomniac finds it becomes a ritual between the two of them, which is helping him cope with the other more difficult aspects of his life. The fights also attract a following, others who not only want to watch but join in. Understanding that there are other men like them, the insomniac and Tyler begin a secret fight club. As the fight club's popularity grows, so does its scope in all aspects. Marla becomes a circle not specifically of the fight clubs but of Tyler and the insomniac's collectives lives. As the nature of the fight clubs becomes out of control in the insomniac's view, the insomniac's life, in association, is one where he no longer understands what is happening around him, or how he can get out of it without harming himself.

I do think this movie changed a bit my view on other movies, I can't explain it really, but damn, I was really impressed by Fight Club. For some reason you'll identify yourself with everything that happens in this movie. I can't actually wait to watch it again, just to re-check everything that happened and if I can notice anything new that can make the story more 'true'.

My personal rate: 9/10
